Mental Health

Kesley Cage, MBACP Registered Counsellor

Perhaps you've found your way here because you are working to recover from or prevent mental unwellness. Whether or not you have received a medical diagnosis, if you are experiencing emotional or psychological distress, you are welcome to explore counselling as an option to explore the issues at the root of your suffering. Counselling offers a trauma-sensitive, therapeutic space for you to release mental and emotional burdens, and discover new ways to respond to life, thereby assisting you to ease your feelings, alleviate psychological distress and settle your mind.

My practice integrates psychotherapeutic modalities tailored to each client because there is no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy. Seeking therapy is a brave step, and there's no reason to feel ashamed about requesting the help of another human being. It's crucial to break the stigma surrounding mental health and reach out for support when needed, because your wellbeing matters. No one is immune to pain or hurt. However, human warmth, compassion and genuine understanding are often the best remedies to empower healing and growth from adversity.

Please note that counselling is not a crisis service. If you are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide, severe depression, violence, life-threatening self-harm, addiction relapse, or extreme overwhelming distress, it's vital to contact trusted friends and relatives, your GP, local crisis team, or a helpline immediately.

Counselling is a private and confidential service held by phone or end-to-end encrypted video calls, operating under the jurisdiction of UK law and according to the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
