Communities & Groups
If you're looking for group support, you may benefit from these opportunities:
Zen Men - a mindfulness community for men
Be Calm, Be Happy - a mindfulness course for all
(For further information, please see mindfulness)
I hold a CPCAB Certificate in Therapeutic Group Facilitation and I have also trained in the Work That Reconnects Facilitation. I facilitate open and closed groups for organisations in places of sanctuary and places of education, and develop new spaces and groups for individuals with specific needs. My practice is informed by psychological research and experience in working with people from many different contexts.
Therapeutic communities that I have facilitated have included: trauma stabilisation and recovery for refugees, facilitating reflective practice for companies, 6-week mindfulness courses, men's circles, psychoeducation workshops, counselling supervision groups and burnout prevention groups for marginalised people, activists and support workers. Some of these groups have been highly planned and structured, and some I have facilitated to develop their own meaningful structures and ways of working together.
If you are a lead representative from an organisation interested in commissioning a group, such as to build community, reduce agency waiting list times, or to focus on specialist areas, please feel welcome to contact me.
